April 7, 2025

Bona Law had a strong presence at the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section’s 73rd Spring Meeting, held last week in Washington, D.C. This premier event brought together nearly 4,000 antitrust and competition law professionals from over 70 countries, making it the largest annual gathering of its kind in the world.

Representing Bona Law were Sabri Siraj, Paul Moore, and Luis Blanquez, who joined Section Chair Steve Cernak and Section Chair’s Counsel Kristen Harris for three days of in-depth discussion, high-level networking, and forward-thinking dialogue on the most pressing issues in antitrust law today.

The Spring Meeting is renowned for setting the tone in global antitrust and consumer protection enforcement. With participation from enforcers, in-house counsel, academics, and private practitioners, the conference features dozens of panels covering the latest developments in litigation, merger review, monopolization, compliance, and policy.

Steve Cernak, a key figure in both the ABA and Bona Law teams, played a leading role in this year’s event. He moderated two major panels: the first, a roundtable featuring top enforcement officials from the European Union, Germany, Brazil, and the U.S. National Association of Attorneys General—offering a truly international perspective on enforcement trends. His second panel delved into the cutting-edge topics of dynamic competition and complexity economics, exploring how evolving economic theories are influencing antitrust analysis and policy.

Bona Law is proud to participate in the global antitrust dialogue and to contribute to the continued development of competition law through thought leadership and active engagement with the international legal community.
